What kind of feedback does Lectora produce for each student?
Lectora drafts written feedback for each submission against your rubric and course material. You read it alongside the proposed score and its reasoning, edit what the student needs to hear, and publish under your own Canvas identity.
What does per-student feedback look like?
Each submission has a written feedback draft, a proposed score and grading reasoning for the educator to review. The feedback is guided by the examiner's guide and can describe strengths, weaknesses and suggested improvements.
The assignment and your instructions determine the structure. A fixed paragraph length or a separate score for every sub-question is not promised for every submission format.
How does Lectora explain a proposed score?
The grading reasoning explains how the draft arrived at its proposed score. Read it against the student's submission and the rubric, and check that the interpretation and any deductions are justified.
The internal performance score serves cohort analytics. It is not a confidence percentage and is kept out of student-facing feedback. The reasoning and the student's work are what let you assess the draft.
Can the educator edit AI-drafted feedback?
Yes. You can change a sentence, replace a paragraph or adjust the proposed score. Saving records the revised feedback and score for that submission.
An edit does not propagate a correction across the cohort or calibrate future grading. If another submission needs a change, you review and edit that submission too.
What does the student receive?
Publishing sends the feedback you chose to release under your own Canvas identity. You choose whether to publish feedback, grades, or both. A qualified examiner remains responsible for every grade.
The published validation measures score agreement on long-form written exams. It does not establish feedback quality. Review the feedback for accuracy, relevance and tone before you publish it.
