Google Drive

At institutions on Google Workspace for Education, lecture notes, slides and assignment briefs tend to live in Google Drive rather than the LMS. Reading selected folders as course context is on the roadmap. None of it is built yet.

Not yet verified

  • There is no Google Drive connection of any kind: no sign-in, no folder access, no file reading.
  • Google Docs, Slides and Sheets would need converting on the way in, and how well their structure survives has not been tested.

How it connects

The mechanism is an account link that you scope to the folders, pages or collections you choose, read-only, so nothing outside that scope is visible. Lectora then reads course material from there when you ask it to. Nothing is built for any of these sources yet, so this section describes the shape the connection will take rather than something you can switch on today.

Data and access

Lectora reads only what the assessment needs, and writes nothing back until an educator approves it. The Canvas access page documents the full scope, and our privacy policy, subprocessors and DPA cover the legal side.

Common questions

No. Nothing connects to Drive yet. If your courses run on Google Workspace, request a pilot and tell us where the course material lives.
