SharePoint
Where OneDrive holds one person's files, SharePoint holds the shared ones: course sites, department libraries and the files behind every Teams channel. Microsoft Graph governs access to both, but SharePoint's own permission model lets an admin grant an app one site collection at a time instead of the whole tenant. Reading selected libraries as course context is on the roadmap; none of it is built yet.

- There is no SharePoint connection of any kind: no Entra ID app registration, no site-level permission grant, no sign-in.
- Which sites or libraries an institution would grant access to, one at a time under Microsoft Graph's Selected model, has not been decided or tested against a real tenant.
- SharePoint is governed by your Microsoft 365 tenant, so onboarding would need your IT department or Entra ID administrator, not just a teacher.
How it connects
The route in would be Microsoft Graph's site-level Selected permission model. Consenting to a scope like Sites.Selected in Entra ID grants an app nothing on its own; an administrator still has to make a separate call granting that specific app a role (read, write, owner or full control) on one named site collection before it can see anything there, and revoking either the site grant or the tenant-wide consent cuts access immediately. That is a narrower, more deliberate grant than a blanket Sites.Read.All would be, and it is the shape a real connection would take: one course site or department library at a time, chosen by your own administrator. Nothing of this is registered yet.
Data and access
