itslearning
itslearning is widely used at Norwegian institutions, and it is on our roadmap because of where our users are, not because we have started. It supports LTI 1.0, 1.1 and 1.3 as a platform, and any new integration would use 1.3. A vendor registers a tool once in itslearning's own developer portal, and an institution's administrator then turns it on from Administration, Manage Apps, the same screen used for every other app on the platform. No itslearning-specific work has been done: Lectora is not in that app library, and no administrator has enabled it.
What works today
- itslearning supports LTI 1.0, 1.1 and 1.3 as a platform, and Lectora is a standard LTI 1.3 tool, so the newest of those three is the plausible route in.
Not yet verified
- No itslearning-specific work has been done at all: not the launch handling, not the roles, not a pilot.
- Lectora has not been registered in itslearning's developer portal, so there is no app library entry any administrator could turn on, even as a test.
- We cannot yet say how Lectora behaves inside an itslearning course, and we will not guess.
How it connects
itslearning treats a new integration as an app, not a developer key: a vendor registers the tool once in itslearning's developer portal, providing the standard LTI fields, and itslearning issues back the platform-side configuration every customer shares. An institution's administrator then finds it in Administration, Manage Apps, alongside itslearning's own Modules, Apps and Plugins, and turns it on there. LTI Advantage features such as grade services or Deep Linking are only offered to a tool once itslearning has confirmed the tool itself declares support for them. None of this has happened for Lectora: it has not been registered in the developer portal and does not appear in any institution's app library.
Data and access
Lectora reads only what the assessment needs, and writes nothing back until an educator approves it. The Canvas access page documents the full scope, and our privacy policy, subprocessors and DPA cover the legal side.
