Ans
Ans runs digital, paper and hybrid exams at universities including Leiden, Radboud and TU Delft, with the marking of open questions shared out among examiners inside Ans itself. It installs into an LMS as its own LTI 1.3 tool, the same shape as Lectora, and separately documents a public API an institution can use to export a question's open-response answers. That API is where Lectora would start in the Netherlands. Nothing has been built for it yet.

- There is no Ans connection and no import of exams or responses. None of it exists yet.
- Ans already has its own marking workflow, assigning open questions to examiners inside Ans itself. Whether Lectora's draft grades would sit alongside that workflow, or need to be written back through the API afterwards, has not been designed.
How it connects
Ans documents a public API of its own, separate from the LTI 1.3 connection it uses inside an LMS: an institution can generate an API token and use it to manage courses and assignments, and to export a question's open-response answers. That is the shape a Lectora connection would take, an API credential pulling responses out for grading rather than Lectora sitting inside Ans, but nothing has been scoped against it yet.
Data and access
Lectora reads only what the assessment needs, and writes nothing back until an educator approves it. The Canvas access page documents the full scope, and our privacy policy, subprocessors and DPA cover the legal side.
