Inspera
Lectora connects to Inspera as an assessment provider, developed together with the University of Bergen. Your institution registers the connection once, and Lectora then imports the exam itself (its questions and structure) together with the candidate responses. Nobody exports a file by hand, and the responses arrive identified only by candidate number, not by name.
What Lectora does in Inspera
- An administrator registers the Inspera connection once for the institution, and can test it before anyone relies on it.
- Imports the exam itself, questions and structure included, together with every candidate's response, instead of anyone exporting files by hand.
- Imported responses are graded against your rubric, with the same approval gate as every other Lectora workflow: nothing is final until an examiner accepts it.

How it connects
An administrator registers the Inspera connection once, from Lectora's settings, and can test it before any exam relies on it. From there, Lectora orders two exports directly from Inspera for every exam: the assessment itself, so it has each question's text and structure, and the candidate submissions, so it has every answer. The two are matched together automatically, so nobody exports a QTI file or a results spreadsheet by hand.
Data and access
Lectora reads only what the assessment needs, and writes nothing back until an educator approves it. The Canvas access page documents the full scope, and our privacy policy, subprocessors and DPA cover the legal side.
