WISEflow

WISEflow, built by the Danish company UNIwise, is one of the most used exam platforms in Danish and Norwegian higher education. It installs into Canvas, Moodle, Brightspace, Blackboard or itslearning as its own LTI 1.3 tool for candidates to sit the exam, and separately publishes a documented API an institution can request for exporting exam data. Lectora would use that API the way it already uses Inspera's, to import exams and candidate responses for grading, but nothing WISEflow-specific has been built.

  • There is no WISEflow connection at all: no API credential, no exam import, no candidate-response import. None of it exists yet.
  • WISEflow's own API access is requested separately from UNIwise, on top of a WISEflow subscription. Even getting connection credentials is a step nobody has taken yet.

How it connects

WISEflow already publishes a documented REST API, separate from the LTI 1.3 tool it installs into Canvas, Moodle, Brightspace, Blackboard or itslearning for candidates to sit the exam. That API is the plausible route in: the same shape as the Inspera connection Lectora already has, an institution-level credential that pulls exam definitions and candidate results instead of anyone exporting a file. UNIwise grants API access on request, separately from a WISEflow subscription, and nothing has been built against it yet.

Data and access

Lectora reads only what the assessment needs, and writes nothing back until an educator approves it. The Canvas access page documents the full scope, and our privacy policy, subprocessors and DPA cover the legal side.

Common questions

Inspera is built; WISEflow is not built at all. Both would use the same shape of connection (register access once, then import exams and candidate responses), but for WISEflow that means requesting UNIwise's separate API rather than the assessment-provider registry Inspera already supports. Request a pilot if you run WISEflow, and we will scope it against a real exam.
