Chat tools and AI assistants · Open to partnership

Microsoft Teams

Most Norwegian institutions run on Microsoft 365, so for many staff Teams is where the working day happens. A Lectora app in Teams would bring the course assistant and grading progress into the chats and channels people already use. None of it is built yet.

Not yet verified

  • There is no Teams app. Nothing can be installed in a team, chat or channel.
  • Teams apps are usually approved by the institution's Microsoft 365 administrators, not by an individual teacher.

How it connects

Messaging tools connect through chat adapters built on the Vercel Chat SDK, so Lectora can answer where teachers and students already talk. AI assistants connect through the Model Context Protocol, where Lectora is added to Claude or ChatGPT as a tool server. Nothing is built for these channels yet, so this section describes the shape the connection will take rather than something you can switch on today.

Data and access

Lectora reads only what the assessment needs, and writes nothing back until an educator approves it. The Canvas access page documents the full scope, and our privacy policy, subprocessors and DPA cover the legal side.

Common questions

No. Those are about reading course material; Teams is about where you talk to Lectora. They share Microsoft's sign-in and admin approval, but each one is separate work.
