Chat tools and AI assistants · Open to partnership

Slack

Some departments, research groups and teaching teams coordinate in Slack rather than Teams. A Lectora app there would let a teaching team ask the course assistant and follow grading progress in a shared channel. None of it is built yet.

Not yet verified

  • There is no Slack app. Nothing can be added to a workspace.
  • What a shared channel would be allowed to show about student work is not designed yet.

How it connects

Messaging tools connect through chat adapters built on the Vercel Chat SDK, so Lectora can answer where teachers and students already talk. AI assistants connect through the Model Context Protocol, where Lectora is added to Claude or ChatGPT as a tool server. Nothing is built for these channels yet, so this section describes the shape the connection will take rather than something you can switch on today.

Data and access

Lectora reads only what the assessment needs, and writes nothing back until an educator approves it. The Canvas access page documents the full scope, and our privacy policy, subprocessors and DPA cover the legal side.

Common questions

Whichever a pilot needs first. Most Norwegian institutions run Teams, but tell us if your teaching team works in Slack. A named course moves a channel up the list.
